Armen,

Okay. I won't send the new file.
But the geo ip location was what Allen specifically asked for.
So we will keep it locally.

Thank you.
Danny.

Danny,

We cannot have format changes at this point. We are in middle of
development and can't have any format changes. Please hold off sending
these new files. We can discuss them after we finish current
development.

Thanks

Armen

Armen,

The new feed has different format than the the other files.

It only includes ips on the network data feed and the geological
locations of the ips.

So you may want to create seperate database to store it.

Or I can add new fields to existing format thata we agreed on.

I looked at your attached file but for the file size it should be bigger
than int(6).

I recommend bigint.

Thank you.

Danny

Danny,

I see what you mean by not knowing if it is TV or Film. We are in the
same situation. I'll tell you this, let's keep it the way it is now,
because you will not be able to provide asset type for 100% of assets
any way. I created a manual process here to fix it, we'll see if that
works for us and decide later.

As far as new feed goes, we are ready to except it as long as the format
(number of fields and position) match to what we've agreed on. Actually
on that note I would like you to go over your codes and make sure we get
that format for all feeds (except project_report*). I attached the
document for your consideration.

Thanks

Armen

Hi. Armen.

I undertand your situation.

I can add another field to distinguish between TV and film.

But I don't know if it is TV or film only looking at the asset name and
it was not provided to us.

I found that the string '(TV)' is manually typed into our system for
some of TV shows.

So, can you provide us the category for each asset?

And one more thing, the geo location data is ready to transfer.

The file includes ip,country, region and city for each network.

The name convention for this file is
"MD_networkname_supply[demand]mmddyyyy_location.csv"

Thank you.

Danny

Danny,

Yes I noticed that, however due to the fact that we load millions of
rows of data into our relational database we noticed that parsing
strings from names to identify type we get significant performance hit
on servers. So if it is at all possible we would like to get type data
in a separate field.

Thanks

Armen

Hi. Armen.

Please look thru the asset names in the file.

If it is a TV show, we put '(TV)' at the end of the title.

Thank you.

Danny.

Hi Danny,

I have a question about titles (project_reports*) file. We get all
asset names and ids from project_reports* files and have no way to
identify if that title is "TV" or "Film". Is it possible for you to
include asset_type in the project_reports* file? You can add this as
last field in the feed.

Thanks

Armen
