Yeah, it's kind of a kludgey thing. That's the checking to see if the
app is running stuff. I basically check to see if it knows what the
port is.

If they log out and log back in, (that clears the port cookie) it
won't be set again until you go to look at your queue, which is the
only thing that the app is directly used for now, since the library
is gotten from the server.

I think it's fine to let them see their library and recently
downloaded even if the app is running. (Although, this does throw a
wrench in if they are on 2 computers ... They'll see the library of
the last running app or something.) It's just that the play and open
links won't be there on the media page, and they won't work from the
library page.

There's really not a super-nice way to do this.
