Hiring for the rest of 2007

Octavio and Randy,

I've begun receiving invitations from UCLA and Harvey Mudd for MediaDefender to attend career fairs in October-November. What are our hiring goals for the rest of this year? Consider, for example, business opportunities on the horizon, Tabish's recent 2-week notice, and the upcoming reorganization of BitTorrent (our new manager, Benny Mao, is slated to begin this Monday). Jay and I aren't certain that we need to fill Tabish's shoes just yet. Dan may be able to step up as a Tech Lead and the new BT manager may be able to handle BT + QA -- we would have to see how things look within the next week or two with Benny. Otherwise, there may be a Project Manager type that could lend greater organizational support to Jay's development team.

Thanks,
Ben

Subject: Harvey Mudd College Fall Career Fair

Dear Employers,

We would like to invite you to join us at Harvey Mudd College for our fall career fair on Thursday, October 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This year we are trying new evening hours to encourage better student participation. As always, the fair will be open to all our students looking for both internships and full-time jobs. In addition, all the students at the Claremont Colleges, including the two graduate schools (Keck and Claremont Graduate University) will be invited to attend.

Registration details can be found on our website www.career.hmc.edu <http://www.career.hmc.edu/> under "Employers"; however, the direct link is

http://www.hmc.edu/about/administrativeoffices/careerservices1/employers1/fairs.html. We have an early bird special so you might to register now. With our bright and talented students being in high demand, we are predicting a large attendance at the fall fair. We hope that you will be one of those employers! If you have already registered, please disregard.

If you any questions regarding the details, please contact Selina Zerbel at selina_zerbel_at_hmc.edu or (909) 621-8091. She will be glad to assist you with both the fair details and on-campus recruiting. We have found that on-campus interviews are often more successful after the career fair.

Warm regards,

Judy L. Fisher, Director
