data collection question

Ben and Jay,

Octavio wants to track propagation of files from our legacy decoying system that Bo manages (the promotion system that pushes out files on Fasttrack and Gnutella). This set of files have been made non-MOD137 so that we would be able to collect data on them. Is it just a matter of me giving Andrew the filenames? Should I give him sha1 hashes (Ivan stores these in a db)? Would it make things easier if he could query the db directly? Should his software query the db directly? Then, in terms of getting the best kind of info possible to Octavio, should the marketing intel system collect data from now on for this, or should it be timed to when this particular file-push out camapaign ends? It'll probably be easiest to talk about this in person, in case something (or maybe a lot of what) I'm saying is unclear.

Thanks,

Ben
