mysql encryption

It looks like we can create an SSL mysql connection as described here:

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/secure-using-ssl.html

This is secure and you can force all connections to require SSL to the database by specifying 'REQUIRE SSL' when creating a user account on the database. It will be easy enough to adapt our C++ database wrapper classes to create connections using SSL when required.
