Think about it like this. If we used 30 ranges what would happen?
We'd have all 30 banned in the same time or very slightly longer than
it took 1 to get banned.

By that same logic, why would you use 3 blocks instead of just 1 block.

I really really do not understand the thinking of wanting to get a
bunch of blocks banned at once.
