Actually, it's the other way. Our protection is gonna mess up the
promotion. So it would be more effective if we can choose the artist we

are not protecting.

Subject: promotion protection conflict?

Ivan,

Would pushing out real mp3s mess-up protection for Fergie in any way?
UMG is testing us from time-to-time on Fergie's new album. A marketing
company is interested in having us push out REAL mp3s of a new artist
that is featuring Fergie on his new single. Bo would pad the mp3s' file
sizes to be mod137. If this could cause a problem, then we'll come up
with alternative artists to hit on; but if there's no problem, then
we'll probably make the files hit on Black Eyed Peas, Akon, Fergie and a
few other really big artists that perform similar music.

Thanks,

Ben
