Tabish is good. The candidates that Ebert and I are seriously considering would probably be very good too (we are likely to offer him a position starting at $50k/year beginning the 30th of July). My own impression is we just need to get new blood into the BT department and re-build it as much as possible. The BT team has some talent between Rendy, Pedro and Niles (the new guy) -- Pedro tries hard but is poorly organized on his own. I don't think we QA is routine enough that it doesn't require a manager -- I'm not sure if that's part of what you're implying, or if I just misread that, but anything is possible.

Idea. Should we give tabish the promotion shot at the bt team. Tabish seems to be doing better and better as time goes on. He is dilligent and understands our needs with customers.

QA is still very important but has become fairly routine. Most of our competitive analysis is around bt anyway. Tab discovered the utorrent exploit that MS was using. Maybe we can promote one of the qa guys to run that team.

Please give thoughts.
