For redhat linux it is always /var/www/html by default.

You can use locate to find stuff i.e. 'locate httpd.conf'. However
that is only accurate since the last 'updatedb' command was run. So
if you just installed something and you want to know where some new
file is, you would have to do 'updatedb' and then you can do an
accurate locate.
