Mashed up decoys of "Stronger" are coming through and being downloaded by gnutella users from our system. "Bittersweet" isn't on there for some reason. I'm following up with Bo and Rendy. It should be there tomorrow.

There should definitely be a mashup for Bittersweet. It is the 3rd most popular song.

My concern with Stronger, and all singles, is that our spoofing technology is so awesome that the mashed decoys never get through the spoofs. We get tested on the singles, so those are the most important for the mashed decoys to work on.

I don't see Bittersweet on the source computer. I think we didn’t create a mashed decoy for this song. Ben, can you confirm that?
I couldn't find Kanye west Stronger either, we're spoofing so hard for this song.

Gotcha. I am using the new version. Was having trouble getting anything with the old version. Thought there was a connection problem.

Can you get them easily for even the popular songs like Kanye West Stronger? Also, can you get Kanye West Bittersweet?

Randy, make sure you're not using the latest LimeWire. They're banning our IPs for the last few versions of LimeWire. I am using version 4.12.6 and have no problem downloading the mashed decoys.

Hi Ivan

Is there any way for the top few spoof returns to be mashed decoys? When I looked at limewire today we killed with spoofs. I couldn't download one mashed decoy with a half hour of testing.

R

We have mashed decoys going out on gnutella (that's the only one currently getting reported to a database), eMule (small set of servers that Ty can connect to -- list at bottom of this email), and ares.

The filenames on all networks should be the same set you see in the attachment of the original of this email. Bo made those filenames with some direction from me. I was able to see our mashed decoys flooding limewire yesterday, but didn't check again today.

These are the servers Ty says he's on (QA is supposed to report to us about these decoys' presence on emule + ares tomorrow or Friday):

Do you have this by network. I can’t find a mashed decoy on Limewire to save my life.

Jay, Octavio and Randy,

Attached is how the downloads for our Uber 2 Kanye West and 50 Cent files have gone out over the holiday weekend on gnutella. We don't have any comparable way of looking at this on eMule or Ares at this time. This Uber 2 experience so far is basically a test/dry-run of the real decoy distribution system that Jay's team is going to start developing soon.

Keep in mind the attachment is from our legacy gnutella file distribution system (Ivan's original decoying system). The thing I find interesting is Kanye West's tracks were downloaded from us more frequently than 50 Cent tracks. Let me know if you're interested in having more data like this pulled from the gnutella decoying system.

-Ben
