Tough call whether he's top 20....

Top 20% (not in this order) of 55 employees is 11 people:
Octavio
Randy
Jonathan
Me
Ty
Dylan
Ivan
Jay
Duc
Jasper
Tie between: Tabish, Gilbert, Jeanette (reporter), Rendy (BT poster), Sujay (dev)

My input is same as jays for most part. We need more qa. He needs to drive efficiency. We r not doing 4 times as much testing as we were a year ago. Software tools etc needs to be driven by him.

I would say 60 is competitive. We r happy with his performance. Is he in the top 20% of the company.

Randy,

I just got off the phone with O. What input do you have for Tabish's review/salary? Generally, Jay and I are happy with what QA does, but they don't take as proactive approach as they could -- consider BT and development generally. I want to bring Tabish up from $52.5k/year to $60k/year (14.3% raise), but I'm expecting him to ask for more given his MBA-type degree, his experience at the company, identifying the BT interdiction from MediaSentry and offering to help with MiiVi (though we didn't want him/his team to at the time). What's my upper limit for a negotiation?
