I took Randy off the e-mail, so we don't clog up his mail box....
How would we be able to tell .edu IPs from IPs? I don't recall Quova or IP2Location providing an .edu-type field, but it may. Reverse DNSing is probably going to yield crap, right? We have a few databases that record IPs and should have data going back three months. The Fasttrack decoys and Gnutella decoys certainly go back that far (and then some). Marketing intel goes back about a month and half (maybe longer?). Dylan's got a bittorrent database that records IPs and goes back several months. One of you cats is probably aware of another db that goes back a while....

Universal is curiouse if we have any historical data over the last 3 months that show whether .edu IP addresses on p2p have gone down.

They want to see if their lawsuits are getting students to stop using p2p (take a moment to laugh to yourself).

Let me know if anyone has any ideas.
